This position is responsible for supporting the Regulatory Compliance department in coordinating the proper licensing of vendors per the Arizona Department of Gaming and Gila River Indian Community (GRIC) Tribal Gaming Commission (TGO) regulation, for the purposes of enabling the purchasing department to acquire goods and services necessary for the enterprise to include performing the following duties, as well as demonstrating the GILA WAY

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Promotes and provides excellent guest service experience to both internal and external guests.
  • Maintains and distributes the TGO and Arizona Department of Gaming approved vendor list to all departments and maintains personal updated knowledge regarding licensed vendor status.
  • Plans, coordinates and controls vendor activities in accordance with enterprises policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate all activities related to enterprise’s vendor licensing process with GRIC and TGO per regulations.
  • Review vendor’s application and supporting documents for completeness.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor licensing and certificate of insurance records.
  • Assist with updating existing vendor licensing processes and procedures.
  • Works directly with Buyers to ensure all vendors are licensed and on-boarded properly.
  • Maintains positive relationships with all vendors including GRIC and TGO.
  • Manage vendor database and other means of tracking for the enterprise.
  • As directed by the Regulatory Compliance Administrator, is responsible for timely filing of all vendor applications and documentation required by policies and procedures. 
  • Responsible for creating and maintain all TGO letters.
  • Responsible for monitoring the vendor emails.
  • Maintains a dependable work attendance record with extremely infrequent absences and/or lateness.
  • Performs other special projects and duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

 This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities, but indirectly influences enterprise employees in their performance.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s Degree preferred.
  • Experience in regulatory compliance experience required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite Software required.
  • Ability to perform the GILA WAY which is as follows; Greet our guest, Interact positively with our guest, Listen actively to our guest and Appreciate our guest.
  • Must possess excellent guest service skills, strong telephone etiquette, a self-starter with the ability to follow-up and complete tasks in a timely manner with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships as well as to gain the cooperation of guests and fellow team members.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
  • This position must have, or an ability to acquire within one year,  an in-depth knowledge and thorough understanding of Enterprise Policies and Procedures, governmental regulations, and technical rules relevant to their responsibilities.
